The EMC currently collects text books that are in use by the Kingsville Independent School District (KISD). These materials are used primarily by students in the College of Education, but community members and home-schoolers are also welcome to come in and use the material.

We have English and Bilingual Textbooks. The collection is updated every year with the new titles purchased by KISD. The textbooks are shelved in the EMC. The teachers' editions of 9-12 grade material are kept in locked cabinets in the EMC. If you would like to use these materials please ask the EMC librarian or go to the Reference Desk.

The State Adopted Textbooks are shelved according to their own individual system. The call number starts with either SA(state adopted) or SAB(state adopted bilingual). The next line list the grade level of the material. The third line lists the number associated with a particular subject. The forth line identifies a particular publisher (this is done because we may have two different sets of math books for the same grade.)
