In 2000 the Education Materials Center received a grant to improve the collection of bilingual material from NEH (National Endowment of the Humanities). The EMC purchased bilingual research material and juvenile material (including state adopted textbooks).

Marcia W. Keyser, the Education Materials Center Librarian wrote the grant and administered it from 2000-2002. Vanessa J. Earp was hired as the Education Materials Center Librarian in August of 2002 and completed the grant from 2002-2003.

Jernigan Library purchases over 400 juvenile titles and over 200 research titles with the NEH Grant. For a complete list of materials purchased please visit the links below.
