Fiction books range in readability level. We collect fiction material for all
reading levels. If you have a question about the reading level of a particular
book please consult the Frye Graph located in the EMC.
Fiction books are stories that are not true. These books are arranged alphabetically
by the first four (4) letters of the author’s last name. The fiction books
call numbers start with FIC (this helps to designate them as juvenile fiction).
If we have more than one book by an author the books are shelved alphabetically
by the book title
For example: If you wanted to find the Harry Potter
Books you would look under: FIC ROWL. The author who writes
the Harry Potter Books is J. K. Rowling.
Some examples of fiction books:

| A Year Down Yonder | Shiloh |
| Maniac Magee | Crispin: The Cross of Lead |
