The Juvenile Collection is intended to support students studying children's literature. We have English, Spanish and Bilingual (English/Spanish) materials.

The items in the Juvenile Collection are shelved according to the Dewey Decimal Classification System. This is done because juvenile books in public and school libraries are normally shelved by the Dewey Decimal System and these libraries are where teachers will get their materials

The Juvenile Material is made up of: Easy Readers, Fiction, and Nonfiction. We have all three types in English and Spanish. The English and Spanish materials are shelved separately to avoid confusion.

How to find juvenile material
. In Oasis do a subject search and then narrow it to juvenile. Example: frog juvenile literature will find juvenile nonfiction books about frogs. A subject search for Frog juvenile fiction will find juvenile fiction books about frogs.
