This email reference service is intended to provide answers to requests for brief, factual information.  Please state your question as clearly as possible.  Some questions are so complex that they require significant interaction with library staff and/or a visit to the Jernigan Library.  Types of appropriate questions include:
  • The availability and locations of materials in the Jernigan Library
  • Inquiries concerning Jernigan Library services
  • Requests for brief statistical data
  • Verification of bibliographic citations
  • Addresses for corporations, institutions, and publishers
  • Requests for brief biographical information
  • Suggestions for resources for your research
  • Assistance on the use of OASIS (the online catalog)
  • Assistance on the use of online resources
Replies are normally sent by email within 72 hours.  When necessary, questions will be directed to the appropriate department.

This service is intended for currently enrolled students, faculty and staff of Texas A&M University-Kingsville.  Others will be assisted if their request concerns Texas A&M University-Kingsville or the unique resources of the Jernigan Library.
