The CDC provides information on the most current disease-related topics, many of which are discussed in the news and/or in national and international conferences.  The site covers such health topics as birth defects, disabilities, diseases & conditions, emergency preparedness & response, environmental health, genetics & genomics, health promotion, injury & violence, travelers’ health, vaccines & immunizations, and workplace safety & health.  Some of the publications (most available full text) produced by the CDC are Emerging Infectious Diseases Journal, MMWR (Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report), Preventing Chronic Disease Journal, and more.  The site also provides data for growth charts, national data, state data, and more information collected from other government agencies.
