How to Access Your Library Patron Record

From the Library Main Menu (http://lib.tamuk.edu/index.html), select Logon to Library Account under Services.  From the Access Services page (http://lib.tamuk.edu/access/access.htm), select View Your Library Record

The next screen will ask for your name and your university ID.  In the spaces provided, enter your last name and your "K" number.  Select the gray bar that reads "Display record for person named above."

You will now be logged on to your patron record.  You may modify some personal information (note that some changes will be deleted when records are downloaded at the beginning of the semester), see the materials you have checked out, execute a search of the library catalog (OASIS), and logoutBe sure you logout before you end your session.

  • Modify personal information: you may modify your address(es), telephone number(s), and email address.
  • You may view and renew library materials you have checked out.  The material must be more than half way through the loan period before the system will allow a renewal.  You may not renew overdue materials.  You can sort the list, and also renew all or selected items with the renew all or renew selected buttons.
  • You may search the catalog (OASIS) while logged in to View Your Library Record.  This allows you to run a search and then select the Preferred Search (Save Your Search) button.  Once a preferred search has been run, the system will save the search in the patron record.  The search can be rerun at a later time simply by logging on to View Your Library Record and selecting the saved search.  You may save up to five searches.
  • Be sure you logout of the View Your Library Record system.  Logout buttons appear on most screens in the system.
